Kitsap Humane Society - The Kitsap Humane Society (KHS) is a non-profit charitable organization that depends upon the kindness and generosity of the community it serves in order to continue to care for companion animals in need. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, consisting of local community and business leaders. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes. We work towards this goal seven days a week through immediate care and sheltering of thousands of companion animals who are homeless, lost, ill, and in need of an advocate. We affect the number of unwanted animals by spaying and neutering all animals we adopt out to new homes, and by offering a low-cost spay/neuter program to pets in our community.

OldDog Haven - ODH is a small group of people with a network of supporters and foster homes. Our goal is providing a loving, safe home for senior dogs abandoned at this time of their lives. We also help dogs that are still adoptable find homes; to date this year 137 dogs have been re-homed with our help.Our aim is that old dogs have happy last years and that, when they die, they are at peace and are safe, knowing that they are loved. ODH is presently caring for 96 dogs and always seeks more foster and Final Refuge homes.ODH is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization that relies entirely on donations, as well as on the love and efforts of those who care for our dogs.

Pet FinderPetfinder - Petfinder is an online, searchable database of animals who need homes. It is also a directory of more than 13,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Organizations maintain their own home pages and available-pet databases. Petfinder is made up of animal-care professionals and regular people volunteering for their local animal welfare organizations all working together to maintain active and accurate homeless pet lists. Most animal welfare volunteers have "real jobs" by day. The success and the magnitude of this project is largely due to their tireless efforts to make a difference. - Since 1984, the Washington State Coalition for the Homeless has taken the lead in advocacy, training and education on issues of homelessness in Washington State.
